We have been discussing about different aspects of business card designing and printing. Even i have posted about the color choice, but today i would like to put my views about the background color of business card. I have observed many people go for bright colors backgrounds with lighter font color. This can look really attractive and can be very eye catchy. But if your main objective is promotion and business, then one need to avoid dark backgrounds. As the darker colors would be harder for a OCR to read. This may result in getting your business card discarded without being scanned. So, this may turn to be loop hole in your marketing, loosing on possibilities of getting business.
In short we can using lighter color background results in making your business card scanners and reader friendly. Especially if its a professional business card and need to be preserved for longer.
